Directions to Cedar Rapids Area Practical Shooters  (CRAPS) range from Cedar Rapids

  1. Take 94 North (F Ave.) to Covington.

  2. Turn right onto Ross Road, the first gravel road past Covington.

  3. Turn right onto Old Ferry Road, the first gravel road off Ross Rd.

  4. Turn left onto Burt Road, the first gravel road off Old Ferry Rd.

  5. Follow Burt Rd to the end of the road and take the left fork toward the gate.

  6. Go through the first gate and follow the trail to the second gate and park in the grass.

  7. Walk through the second gate, turn right and follow the path along side the railroad tracks to the third gate.  The CRAPS range will be visible from the third gate.

  8. Walk through the third gate and follow the path to the range.

Please leave the gates as you found them. Bring hearing and eye protection.

Shooting at the range is done outdoors in all weather, but there is a clubhouse to provide shelter with a stove for heat.  Dress for the weather

 

Directions to CRAPS range from Iowa City

  1. Take I-380 North to Highway 30.

  2. Take Hwy 30 West to Edgewood.

  3. Take Edgewood North (right) to 33rdAve.

  4. Turn left on 33rd Ave.

  5. 33rd Ave. turns into Wiley Blvd. Take Wiley Blvd. North to F Ave (Highway 94).

  6. Turn left on F Ave (Highway 94).

  7. Take Hwy 94 N to Covington.

  8. Turn right onto Ross Road, the first gravel road past Covington.

  9. Turn right onto Old Ferry Road, the first gravel road off Ross Rd.

  10. Turn left onto Burt Road, the first gravel road off Old Ferry Rd.

  11. Follow Burt Rd to the end of the road and take the left fork toward the gate.

  12. Go through the first gate and follow the trail to the second gate and park in the grass.
